You create an account with a host, we set Poznote up on it, and then everything is yours: your address, your notes, your backups.
How it works
Send an email to contact@poznote.comWe set everything up, without you needing to be there, then send you your Poznote address and login. After that, we no longer have access: everything is yours.
One email is enough, we take it from there.
Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The only cost is the host's plan, from $2 a month (depending on the host, how many notes you have and the resources you need, which we'll work out with you), billed by them. We charge nothing for the install and there is no catch: a Poznote that runs well is the best advertising it can get.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. Creating the hosting account is like signing up on any website. We handle everything else, and show you the two things worth knowing: where your backups are, and how to restore one.
Who can see my notes?
You, and the people you invite. Poznote runs in your own account with the host, not on our computers. Once we hand it over, we no longer have access, and nothing goes through us. For extra peace of mind, change your password when you first sign in. No account with us, no tracking.
Is it the same Poznote as the demo?
Yes, exactly the same. Same app, same features and same updates as when you install it yourself.
Can I stop or move later?
Yes, any time. Export all your notes as a ZIP from the settings, then cancel with the host. If you ever want to run Poznote yourself, the same notes work on your own server.
