Use Poznote without managing a server
A hosting company runs Poznote for you on its own computers and keeps it online. You don't install anything: you create an account, start the install, and get a web address you can open from any device. Your notes stay yours.
How it works
-
1
Create an account with a host
Caliber Node or PikaPods. Both let you try Poznote before paying.
-
2
Start the install and wait a couple of minutes
The host sets everything up and gives you a web address for your Poznote.
-
3
Open your address and sign in
Sign in at the address you were given, change your username and your password, and you are ready to write your notes.
Common questions
Do I need to install anything?
Is it the same Poznote as the demo?
Who can see my notes?
Can I stop or move later?
Pick a host
- One-click install
- Your own web address
- Automatic updates
- Your data downloadable
- Secure connection
- Cancel whenever you want
Both hosts give you $5 of free credit, which is about two months to try Poznote before paying anything.
- Updates arrive as soon as they are released.
- Fixed plans. Generous tiers; for more, you move up to the next one, and the price gap is small.
- SSH console and snapshots (automatic backups) included.
- Newer service, still growing.
- Updates are tested before rollout, so they arrive a little later.
- Adjustable resources. Set RAM, CPU and disk independently, no tiers.
- Backups run automatically, but you set up where they are stored.
- Established service, around for years.
Choose Caliber Node if you want as little to manage as possible and don't have that many notes: the starting plan will be enough. Bonus: you get fixes and new features as soon as they are released.
Deploy on Caliber NodeChoose PikaPods if you want room to grow, adding resources as your notes pile up, and don't mind setting up backups to online storage (S3), which isn't hard.
